Boise State
I, for one, am glad that Boise State beat VT last night. The win legitimizes their ranking and maybe they’ll get some more respect now.

Nuclear Winter
Practice has been very enjoyable. The first practice debate centered on the impact of H1-B visas on the US economy. Does it help? Does it stave off the crumbling of western power or will it lead to complete destruction of the environment when Pakistan takes advantage of a crumbling India IT sector and they start launching nukes.  Fun.

Something we seem to forget.
Consider the first words of the Bill of Rights: Congress shall make no law… I want to remind everyone that private citizens cannot violate the constitution. The Constitution is a limiting document upon our government. The power is in your hands. Just look at the final amendment contained in the Bill of Rights (emphasis mine): The powers not delegated to the United States by the...

Today's Music
If you know me, then you know I love music. Here is a song and snippet of lyrics that stuck out to me today. My Father’s Son by Ricky Skaggs Well, a rich man writes the book of laws.  A poor man must defend  But the highest laws are written  On the hearts of honest men  If that cup is passed to me  To do what must be done  When they lay me down remind them  I was just my father’s...

Datum Data
Enter the odd background music. The camera pans into a dark room. The figure of someone pondering a useless self-made conundrum lies still in the B&W setting. Enter the mind (through the ear of course). Data is plural for datum. But when does a datum stop containing data? You may think it silly. I find it fascinating. This has been a truly odd post… …it’s late.

Murder in the City
If I get murdered in the city Go read the letter in my desk Don’t worry with all my belongings But pay attention to the list Make sure my sister knows I loved her Make sure my mother knows the same Always remember, there is nothing worth sharing Like the love that let us share our name Always remember, there is nothing worth sharing Like the love that let us share our name -The Avett Brothers
